Human Resources Officer (Permanent) Full-Time Responsible To: HR Manager Sort Description: This is a hands on role, working as part of a HR team, supporting a part of the operation. You will be responsible for supporting the operation and operational managers with making decisions relating to the management of staffing issues, including disciplinary, grievance, attendance and staff performance concerns. Working Pattern: Full time Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm, based at Head Office in Uxbridge with the flexibility to travel to homes within the operation, which are all located within the London Borough of Hillingdon. Day to day delivery of hands on HR support and advice to the designated management teams to retain, reward and develop our staff 2. Support management to assess staff related risks in the organisation and ensure that any employee relations matter are resolved in a timely manner, with minimal disruption and cost to the business 3. Ensure management are maintaining daily, weekly and monthly deliverables relating to staff compliance through data reporting and analysis and supporting with action plans as required 4. Engage with the management team to ensure that the organisation structure is fit for purpose and there is clear accountability and responsibility for all job roles 5. Analyse performance reviews and support management to plan for organisational growth through succession planning and employee development 6. Work closely with the HR Team to deal with escalated HR queries through the HR Helpdesk, promptly respond to queries and working with the relevant departments to resolve issues raised Qualifications and Experience: 1. Minimum 2 years’ experience in working in a HR Officer, Advisor or Assistant role dealing with employee relations issues 2. Experience in drafting HR documents, policies and procedures in line with employment legislation and company policies and procedures 3. Experience working in hands on HR role in a fast paced environment 4. Effective communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and coach others 5. Attention to detail, planning and organisational skills 6. Ability to analyse data and make data driven decisions 7. Confidence to work across all levels of the business Personal Qualities: • Confidence to engage with management and employees across the business • Must be able to work on own initiative and as a team player • Flexibility to meet the needs of the organisation • Interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders • Self- awareness and resilience • Positive attitude This role offers wide scope for exposure to a broad range of HR functions and mechanisms, as well as the opportunity to get involved in a range of HR Projects.
