Our client is a fastest growing care provider in the Enfield area and provides essential care to elderly and vulnerable adults. This is a really rewarding key worker role, which offers a real feel good factor, whilst offering flexible working patterns (Full-time/Part-time/Mornings/Evenings) and opportunities to progress your career in a secure and fast growing industry sector.
Due to continued expansion, we are looking for care workers who are truly passionate about delivering high quality care to vulnerable adults within the community. To be considered for this role, you should ideally have your own transport and it would be ideal for you to have a background in care. We will however consider drivers, who have worked in other industries and are considering a career in care, or experienced carers, who are not drivers.
We are looking for individuals with empathy, compassion, creativity and commitment and those who genuinely want to make a positive difference to other people’s lives. You will support our service users by enabling them to improve their quality of life and helping them to achieve their desired goals. You are required to provide personal, domestic care and companionship to vulnerable adults/elderly in their own homes.
Key responsibilities will include; but not be limited to:
- Providing service users with the appropriate level of care in accordance with their care support plan.
- Supporting service users to build their confidence, self-esteem and their ability to manage their mental health symptoms.
- Supporting service users to take their medication.
- Supporting service users with their daily living skills and domestic chores.
- Accurately keeping daily records.
- Assisting with personal care and maintaining service user’s independence.
Requirements:
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Standard of written English.
- Commitment, enthusiasm, flexibility, professionalism.
- Experience in care is desirable but not essential (Full training provided).
- Good problem solving skills and a solutions focused approach.
- Positive and friendly nature, with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Full UK/EU Drivers Licence and access to their own transport (car/motorbike/moped) highly desirable.
