Location: Southend on Sea

Our client is a fast-growing care provider in the South East, providing essential care to elderly and vulnerable adults across the Borough of Southend. This is a rewarding key worker role, offering flexible working patterns (Full-time/Part-time/Mornings/Evenings) and opportunities to progress your career in a secure and fast-growing industry sector.

We are looking for care workers who are truly passionate about delivering high-quality care to vulnerable adults within the community. To be considered for this role, you should ideally have your own transport, and it would be ideal to have a background in care. However, we will consider drivers who have worked in other industries and are considering a career in care, or experienced carers who are not drivers.

We seek individuals with empathy, compassion, creativity, and commitment, who genuinely want to make a positive difference in other people's lives. You will support our service users by enabling them to improve their quality of life and helping them achieve their desired goals. You are required to provide personal, domestic care, and companionship to vulnerable adults/elderly in their own homes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing service users with the appropriate level of care in accordance with their care support plan.
  • Supporting service users to build their confidence, self-esteem, and ability to manage their mental health symptoms.
  • Supporting service users to take their medication.
  • Assisting service users with their daily living skills and domestic chores.
  • Accurately keeping daily records.
  • Assisting with personal care and maintaining service users' independence.

Requirements:

  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Standard of written English.
  • Commitment, enthusiasm, flexibility, professionalism.
  • Experience in care is desirable but not essential (Full training provided).
  • Good problem-solving skills and a solutions-focused approach.
  • Positive and friendly nature, with a can-do attitude.
  • Full UK/EU Drivers Licence and access to their own transport (car/motorbike/moped) highly desirable.
