Job Title: Business Development Sales Executive-
Based in Harrow, with travel to client sites across South England.
Our client are a well-established and leading global logistics provider, with a very rich history within the Logistics and Freight Forwarding sector.
This role represents a superb opportunity for an experienced Business Development/Sales Executive, with a passion for sales, to fulfil a pivotal sales role for the Southern England region.
The primary goal is to secure new customers and develop existing customers to drive revenue and growth targets. The role will require prospecting, making new business calls, setting appointments, creating proposals and closing new business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES
- Create a plan of sales appointments with prospect, developing and existing clients with a game plan to engage and secure opportunities
- Develop all necessary procedures and processes to ensure that the sales function operates efficiently and effectively and achieves objectives
- Create and identify new business opportunities
- Contact new and existing clients either by face to face meetings, telephone calls or networking
- Prepare presentations, pitches and proposals for prospective clients
- Setting your own appointments and managing your own time
- Required to sell air and sea freight services both imports and exports
- Support Business Development on Sales Meetings
- Provide progress reports/updates via company CRM system
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and other relevant bodies to ensure that the companys maximum sales potential is realised in your area
- Monitor the sales performance of competitors to ensure the company maintains and develops its competitive position
Skills/Experience Required:
- Freight/Logistics experience is Essential -Project forwarding experience Desirable
- Ability to work on your own and use own initiative
- Full UK Driving Licence required
- Good Freight Logistics market knowledge required
- Travel in the UK required
- Computer Literate
- Sales/Business Development Experience
- Experienced and motivated in sales
- A pro-active, solutions focused approach
- Able to plan as well as work to; and meet deadlines
- Commercial, Enthusiastic, Entrepreneurial
