Are you a passionate Software Engineer looking to work on critical operational systems in a fast-paced, enterprise-scale trading environment? Join a globally recognized leader in the Energy and Commodities Trading industry on a hybrid contract role (2 days/week in Central London). We are on the hunt for someone who’s ready to take ownership, solve complex problems, and contribute to a key suite of applications that power business operations around the world.

The Opportunity: This is a 6–12 month initial contract, highly likely to be extended up to 2 years. You’ll be part of an Agile Delivery Team supporting a suite of BC/SOX-regulated applications, focusing on run & maintain support, defect resolution, enhancements, and project delivery.

Tech Stack You’ll Work With:

  • Core: Informatica, Oracle (PL/SQL), Linux
  • Reporting: SAP Business Objects
  • Cloud Exposure: Azure CDE (great for upskilling!)
  • Bonus: SQL Server Analysis Services, Software Configuration Management, Software Design

You Bring:

  • Strong experience in application support, defect fixes, and feature enhancements in a production-grade environment
  • Deep understanding of PL/SQL, Informatica workflows, and Linux-based systems
  • Exposure or interest in cloud technologies (Azure preferred)

Contract: 6–12 months to start, extendable to 2 years

Location: Central London, 2 days onsite, hybrid working
