We are currently seeking an experienced Senior IT Business Analyst to join a large-scale digital transformation programme within the energy sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a data-focused initiative aimed at enhancing analytics, reporting, and cloud-based capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse and translate business requirements into clear functional and non-functional specifications
  • Assess current processes, systems, and data flows to identify improvement opportunities
  • Develop strong business cases and support prioritisation and funding decisions
  • Work closely with stakeholders, Product Owners, and technical teams to deliver solutions aligned to business needs
  • Lead stakeholder workshops and design sessions
  • Ensure full traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle
  • Define and coordinate testing, including creation of acceptance criteria
  • Support Agile delivery and promote Agile best practices across stakeholders
  • Provide leadership and direction on Business Analysis activities across the project

Key Requirements

  • 7–10 years’ experience as an IT Business Analyst
  • Strong experience working in Agile environments (frameworks, tools, and ways of working)
  • Proven ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience in data-heavy or system transformation projects
  • Strong documentation and requirement gathering skills
  • Experience leading Business Analysis activities and small teams
  • Degree in IT or related discipline
  • Previous energy sector experience is essential
  • Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile certifications
