Payroll Project Manager – Workday – 12 Month Contract (Media & Entertainment Industry)

We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Project Manager to lead critical payroll initiatives for the UK & Ireland during a period of major organisational change. In this strategic, hands-on role, you’ll drive the seamless implementation of 17 payrolls into Workday while overseeing payroll operations through a high-profile business separation project.

You’ll be a trusted advisor to leadership teams, a change-maker for payroll processes, and a key player in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading payroll projects, including a large-scale Workday payroll implementation.
  • Managing payroll-related change initiatives, ensuring smooth integration into business operations.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver payroll excellence across multiple entities.
  • Driving process optimisation, automation, and enhanced payroll governance.
  • Acting as the primary liaison for payroll initiatives across business units.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in payroll project management.
  • Hands-on expertise in Workday payroll implementations (or similar systems).
  • A track record of leading complex projects with strong planning and execution skills.
  • Strong understanding of UK & Ireland payroll compliance and regulations.
  • Exceptional organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
