Build your commercial legal career at the intersection of content, technology & global business
We’re supporting a leading global media & entertainment organisation looking for a Paralegal to join its International Content Distribution legal team in London.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious early-career legal professional to move beyond traditional legal support and gain hands-on commercial experience in a fast-moving, technology-enabled international business.
The team provides legal support for the distribution of major film and television content across EMEA, LATAM and APAC, spanning digital and physical home entertainment, television distribution, SVOD, FVOD and content/format licensing.
You’ll work alongside experienced legal professionals while getting involved directly in commercial contracts, licensing, distribution, negotiation, legal research and business-facing legal support.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll have genuine ownership and exposure across a broad range of commercial legal activity, including:
- Drafting and supporting the negotiation of licensing and content distribution agreements.
- Preparing term sheets, amendments, extensions, sale & purchase agreements, notices and NDAs.
- Creating and maintaining deal summaries and supporting contract reviews.
- Responding to day-to-day commercial and legal queries from the business.
- Conducting commercial legal research and supporting strategic legal projects.
- Working closely with sales, finance, legal and other business teams, as well as external clients and counterparties.
- Using and engaging with legal technology, digital tools and modern contract-management processes to support efficient legal delivery.
- Managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a genuinely international, fast-paced environment.
- Participating in team meetings, training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is curious, commercially minded and keen to develop their legal career through practical, hands-on experience.
You’ll ideally have:
- Completed the LPC, BPTC/Bar training or equivalent legal professional training.
- Some experience or strong interest in commercial contracts, media, entertainment, licensing, content distribution, intellectual property or technology law.
- Strong drafting, research and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple pieces of work simultaneously.
- A proactive, organised approach and willingness to take ownership.
- Confidence communicating with different stakeholders and working collaboratively.
- An interest in legal technology and how technology can improve contract management, legal processes and commercial decision-making.
- The ability to work accurately and reliably under tight deadlines.
Why this role?
This isn't simply a traditional Paralegal position.
You’ll gain exposure to international commercial transactions, premium content distribution, licensing, technology-enabled legal processes and a wide range of business stakeholders — giving you a strong platform for the next stage of your legal career.
