A leading film and media licensing organisation is seeking an In-House Legal Assistant to join its legal team on a 3-month trial with the potential to become permanent. This is a rare opportunity to work within the global film industry, supporting the licensing of film content from major studios to organisations worldwide.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will assist with a broad range of legal matters related to audio-visual content licensing, intellectual property, and commercial contracts. You will collaborate with teams across acquisitions, sales, digital services, and finance while also working with external counsel internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Head of Legal with contract drafting and negotiations
- Assisting with IP and copyright matters
- Reviewing acquisition agreements
- Managing customer licence agreements, amendments and renewals
- Maintaining contract templates and legal documentation
- Supporting internal teams with legal queries
- Liaising with external legal counsel internationally
About You
- 0–2 PQE UK qualified solicitor OR experienced paralegal
- Experience drafting or reviewing commercial contracts
- Knowledge of intellectual property law, ideally copyright
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Interest in the film, media or entertainment industry
- Additional languages would be advantageous.
Working Arrangements
- Mostly remote working
- 1 day per week in the London office
- Full-time (part-time considered – minimum 25 hours)
