We’re supporting a leading global media & entertainment organisation looking for a
Paralegal to join its International Content Distribution legal team in London.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious early-career legal professional to move beyond traditional legal support and gain hands-on commercial experience in a fast-moving, technology-enabled international business .
The team provides legal support for the distribution of major film and television content across
EMEA, LATAM and APAC , spanning digital and physical home entertainment, television distribution, SVOD, FVOD and content/format licensing.
You’ll work alongside experienced legal professionals while getting involved directly in commercial contracts, licensing, distribution, negotiation, legal research and business-facing legal support .
What you’ll be doing
You’ll have genuine ownership and exposure across a broad range of commercial legal activity, including:
- Drafting and supporting the negotiation of licensing and content distribution agreements .
- Preparing term sheets, amendments, extensions, sale & purchase agreements, notices and NDAs .
- Creating and maintaining deal summaries and supporting contract reviews.
- Responding to day-to-day commercial and legal queries from the business.
- Conducting commercial legal research and supporting strategic legal projects.
- Working closely with sales, finance, legal and other business teams , as well as external clients and counterparties.
- Using and engaging with legal technology, digital tools and modern contract-management processes to support efficient legal delivery.
- Managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a genuinely international, fast-paced environment.
- Participating in team meetings, training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is curious, commercially minded and keen to develop their legal career through practical, hands-on experience .
You’ll ideally have
- Completed the
LPC, BPTC/Bar training or equivalent legal professional training .
- Some experience or strong interest in commercial contracts, media, entertainment, licensing, content distribution, intellectual property or technology law .
- Strong drafting, research and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple pieces of work simultaneously.
- A proactive, organised approach and willingness to take ownership.
- Confidence communicating with different stakeholders and working collaboratively.
- An interest in legal technology and how technology can improve contract management, legal processes and commercial decision-making .
- The ability to work accurately and reliably under tight deadlines.
