The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.
The solutions architect is joining a greenfield programme (already underway) as part of a bigger transformation piece to create a new Claims Management System for Crude products. This will sit within the trading systems and integrate with ETRM systems. The next step is integration with the systems landscape. Phase 1 will be a manual test on a smaller scale and then Phase 2 will be the automation piece.
The four elements of Solutions Architect we are looking for are: Business, Data/Information, Application, and Technology. There is a strong preference for someone with a solid technology background who can showcase experience of having excellent communication within a complex matrix of teams such as Shell. The client will question in depth to a point that may get a little uncomfortable to establish what this person has been responsible for delivering themselves (must have done the job).
Preference is given to anyone that comes from a Commodities trading background, whether it be from energy, hedge funds, or Investment Banking, as they will have the relevant trading knowledge.
