We are seeking an experienced Endur Architect to play a key role in delivering end-to-end technology solutions within a complex trading environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the implementation of a global Energy Trade & Risk Management (ETRM) platform on Azure, helping to build a scalable, secure, and future-ready technology landscape that enables transformation across trading operations.
As an Endur Architect, you will act as a technical leader across projects, providing architecture design, governance, and strategic direction. You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to ensure solutions are aligned with architectural standards while delivering real business value. You will contribute to a major transformation programme focused on modernising trading capabilities through cloud-native technologies and advanced data platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end solution architecture across complex IT initiatives
- Act as the primary point of contact for architectural design and governance
- Translate business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions
- Guide engineers, designers, and analysts through the solution design life cycle
- Review and approve detailed designs, ensuring alignment with standards and best practice
- Drive collaboration, influence decision-making, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly
- Contribute to and evolve architecture frameworks, standards, and reference models
- Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement
- Monitor emerging technologies and incorporate them into future-ready solutions
- Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to shape strategic direction
- Champion architectural excellence across teams and wider technology communities
- Support governance forums and architecture review processes
- 10+ years' experience in Trading IT environments
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end trading life cycle (deal capture through settlement)
- Extensive experience with OpenLink Endur (v14+)
- Proven background in software architecture and solution design
- Strong experience designing solutions in commodities trading environments
- Expertise in cloud platforms, particularly Azure (or AWS)
- Experience with microservices, containerisation, and cloud-native architectures
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
- Hands-on experience implementing Endur, including: Managers, domain services, operational services, TPM, APM, grid configuration, and deal modelling
- Strong experience in data architecture and data platforms
- Knowledge of data engineering, pipelines, warehousing, and governance
- Experience working with diverse data types (eg, streaming, time-series, big data)
- Integration experience using APIs, event-driven architecture (Kafka, Event Hub), and Middleware
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (.NET, Python, Node.js)
- Front End exposure (React, micro-frontends)
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with Azure services including AKS, Data Factory, Data Lake, Cosmos DB, Functions
- CI/CD and DevOps tooling (Git, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to navigate complex environments and manage competing priorities
- Proven problem-solving mindset with a pragmatic, value-focused approach
£800-£1,000 per day (Inside IR35) for a 12-month contract with strong likelihood of extension (up to 24 months total).
