We are currently recruiting for an experienced Assembler / Workshop Operative to support a busy period over the next 23 months. This role would particularly suit someone semi-retired or looking for short-term, hands-on work, who still enjoys being in a workshop environment and getting stuck in.

Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:30am - 2:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repairing and reworking products across various materials
  • Drilling (pillar and hand drills)
  • Riveting and installing rivnuts
  • Cutting materials (bandsaw, jigsaw, ripsaw, hand tools)
  • General sheet metal fabrication
  • Assembly using fasteners and bonding techniques
  • Working with specialist adhesives
  • Sanding and finishing components

What we are looking for:

  • Previous workshop, assembly or fabrication experience
  • Practical, hands-on approach
  • Experience using a range of tools and equipment
  • Good attention to detail
  • Reliable and able to work independently
