Are you an experienced Block Manager looking for a business where you can genuinely become part of its future?

We are recruiting for an established residential property management business looking for an experienced Block Manager to join its team in Leeds.

What makes this opportunity particularly different is that the business is employee owned.

That means the people working within the company have a genuine stake in its success and an opportunity to benefit from the business they are helping to build.

The Role

You will take responsibility for your own portfolio of residential developments, providing a professional and proactive service to clients and leaseholders.

This is a varied role where you will have autonomy over your portfolio while having the support of an experienced wider team.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Managing a portfolio of residential blocks and developments
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients and leaseholders
  • Carrying out regular site inspections
  • Managing contractors, repairs and maintenance
  • Preparing and monitoring service charge budgets
  • Working closely with service charge and accounts teams
  • Managing major works and Section 20 consultations
  • Attending client, resident and AGM meetings when required
  • Managing insurance claims
  • Ensuring properties remain compliant with relevant legislation
  • Managing health and safety requirements across your portfolio
  • Reading and interpreting leases
  • Building strong relationships with clients, RMC Directors and leaseholders
  • Identifying problems early and taking ownership of resolving them

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with previous residential block or leasehold property management experience.

You should be comfortable managing your own portfolio and confident dealing directly with clients, residents and contractors.

Ideally, you will have

  • Previous Block Management experience
  • Good knowledge of residential leasehold management
  • Experience managing service charge budgets
  • Understanding of Section 20 and major works
  • Knowledge of relevant property and health and safety legislation
  • Strong client management skills
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities
  • A proactive approach to problem solving

TPI, IRPM or another relevant property qualification would be advantageous, although experience and attitude are equally important.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This isn't simply another managing agent.

As an employee owned business, there is a genuine opportunity to become part of the company rather than simply work for it.

You'll be joining an established team where good people are trusted to manage their portfolios and encouraged to contribute ideas about how the business can continue to improve.

The package includes

  • Competitive salary
  • Hybrid working
  • Car allowance
  • Employee owned business
  • Opportunity to share in the future success of the company
  • Support with professional development
  • Established and supportive property management team
  • Long term career opportunities

If you're an experienced Block Manager looking for your next move in Leeds and like the idea of working for a business owned by the people who work in it, we'd like to hear from you.
