The Opportunity
Our client is a well established and highly regarded independent property practice based in Surrey. With a strong reputation across commercial and residential property, the business provides a full range of professional services including property management, agency, lease advisory and valuations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Chartered Surveyor to join a friendly and professional team with very low staff turnover and a supportive working culture. The role offers a varied workload across Surrey, Sussex and Kent, with long term progression and autonomy.
Working Arrangement
- The role is primarily office based, with flexibility considered once both sides are confident in the arrangement.
- Initial onboarding: full time office presence for the first 3 months.
- Hybrid working may be possible thereafter, with up to 1 day from home (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday).
- Offices are based in Dorking and Reigate, with a dedicated workspace provided.
- Site visits and client appointments will involve working between both locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Partners across both offices.
- Supporting and leading client pitches, tenders and presentations.
- Assisting with the development and execution of real estate strategies for clients.
- Producing professional documentation including heads of terms, market reports, cashflows and engagement letters.
- Supporting commercial agency instructions from instruction through to completion of sales and lettings.
- Undertaking lease advisory work including rent reviews and lease renewals.
- Carrying out commercial property valuations for a range of purposes including probate, SIPP, share transfer and matrimonial matters.
- Supporting the wider partnership across property management and professional services as required.
- Maintaining the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
- Ensuring compliance with RICS regulations and internal business guidance.
Candidate Requirements
- MRICS qualified (or working towards).
- Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience preferred.
- Strong background across commercial professional services and valuations.
- Well organised, motivated, and able to deliver work to a high standard within agreed timescales.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent client relationship skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Full clean driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle for business travel.
