A growing and well established property management business based in Birkenhead is looking to appoint a Block Manager to support and develop its residential portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building structure within a portfolio and wants the opportunity to help grow and shape a department over time.
The Role
- You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately 40 residential blocks consisting of a mixture of freehold and Resident Management Company developments.
- The portfolio offers a varied mix of buildings and client relationships, providing the opportunity to gain broad experience across residential property management.
- Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of residential developments
- Building strong relationships with leaseholders, directors and residents
- Coordinating maintenance works and contractor management
- Managing service charge budgets and expenditure
- Supporting Section 20 consultation processes where required
- Ensuring health and safety compliance across developments
- Conducting site visits and inspections
- Attending resident meetings and AGMs where necessary
This role also offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of the department as the portfolio grows.
About You
- Previous experience within Block Management or residential property management
- Good understanding of service charge budgets and leasehold management
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage relationships with residents and directors
- Full UK driving licence
- Professional qualifications such as TPI would be beneficial but are not essential.
