About the Company:

Templegate Recruitment is proud to be working with a well-established, independent financial planning firm seeking an experienced Senior Paraplanner or Paraplanning Manager to join their growing business. This opportunity has arisen as the current Senior Paraplanner is progressing into a Financial Adviser position, creating an exciting opening for someone looking to take the next step in their career. The business has a close-knit and collaborative culture, with a dedicated team of four paraplanners. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who enjoys remaining hands-on while also leading, mentoring and supporting a small team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and develop a team of four paraplanners.
  • Produce high-quality suitability reports and financial planning documentation.
  • Conduct technical research across pensions, investments and protection products.
  • Work closely with Financial Advisers to deliver excellent client outcomes.
  • Review and maintain high standards of report writing and technical accuracy.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring and technical support to the paraplanning team.
  • Assist with process improvements and ensure efficient workflow management.
  • Utilise Salesforce and other internal systems effectively.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry legislation and regulatory changes.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Paraplanner or in a Paraplanning leadership role.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and support a small team.
  • Excellent technical knowledge across pensions, investments and financial planning.
  • Strong report writing and analytical skills.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ideally Chartered Financial Planner or Fellow qualified; however, candidates with significant paraplanning experience and strong technical ability will also be considered.

Desirable Skills:

  • Chartered Status or Fellow qualification.
  • Previous people management or mentoring experience.
  • Strong technical and compliance knowledge.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small, supportive team.
  • Passion for developing colleagues and improving processes.
