Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, reviewing client income, assets, liabilities, existing arrangements, and financial objectives.
  • Utilise financial planning software and cashflow modelling tools to analyse scenarios and support financial planning recommendations.
  • Research investment solutions, financial products, pension arrangements, and planning strategies to support advisers and client recommendations.
  • Stay informed of industry developments, market trends, regulatory changes, and product innovations.
  • Assist Financial Planners in preparing comprehensive and compliant financial planning reports and recommendations.
  • Gather and analyse client information and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in line with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
  • Communicate with clients where required to obtain information and clarify objectives.
  • Ensure all documentation and recommendations meet compliance standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Provide administrative support to the wider financial planning team as required.
  • Work collaboratively with advisers, providers, administrators, and fellow paraplanners to deliver an exceptional client experience.
  • Share technical knowledge and best practice across the team.

What We're Looking For:

  • Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent Level 4 qualification).
  • Previous experience working as a Paraplanner or in a similar technical financial planning role.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning principles, pensions, investments, protection, and retirement planning.
  • Good knowledge of current industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience using financial planning, research, and cashflow modelling software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality standards.

Desirable Skills:

  • Advanced Diploma qualifications or progress towards Chartered status.
  • Chartered Financial Planner or CFP designation.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced and growing financial planning environment.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of investment and retirement planning strategies.
