About the Company
A rapidly growing, Private Equity-backed independent financial planning group is looking to appoint an experienced Paraplanner to join its expanding paraplanning team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Paraplanner who wants exposure to complex and interesting cases, structured career development, and genuine support towards advanced qualifications, including Chartered status.
The Role
As a Paraplanner, you will work closely with Financial Advisers and senior leadership to deliver accurate, compliant, and client-focused advice. This Paraplanner position plays a key role in managing complex cases, maintaining technical excellence, and supporting the ongoing growth of the business. You’ll also contribute to improving processes and ensuring consistency across all advice documentation.
Key Duties of the Paraplanner Role:
- Produce high-quality suitability reports and recommendation letters covering investments, pensions, tax planning, trusts, and protection products.
- Carry out in-depth research and technical analysis to support financial advice.
- Prepare cashflow modelling and forecasts, including complex planning scenarios.
- Work collaboratively with Advisers, Administrators, Compliance, and fellow Paraplanners.
- Contribute to paraplanning processes and embed best practice across the team.
- Stay up to date with legislative, regulatory, and industry changes affecting advice and clients.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Level 4) or equivalent (or close to completion).
- Previous Paraplanner experience, or a strong desire to progress into a Paraplanner role.
- Solid technical knowledge of pensions, investments, tax planning, and protection products.
- Strong understanding of FCA regulations and advice standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Confident communicator with a collaborative, team-focused approach.
