About the Company:

A well-established and growing financial planning firm is looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join its close-knit back-office team. This is an excellent opportunity for a career Paraplanner to join a small and personable business where they will work closely with the adviser and have the opportunity to build strong relationships with clients. The successful candidate will be joining an established team and will play an important role in supporting the firm's ongoing financial planning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing comprehensive Paraplanner support to the adviser
  • Preparing high-quality suitability reports and financial planning documentation
  • Supporting across a broad range of financial planning matters, with strong knowledge of pensions essential
  • Carrying out research and analysis to support recommendations
  • Preparing client review and meeting documentation
  • Liaising with clients and providing a professional and personable service
  • Maintaining accurate records and information using IO
  • Working closely with the adviser and wider administration team to ensure a smooth and efficient service

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 2 years’ experience working as a Paraplanner within financial services
  • Strong technical knowledge across the full financial planning spectrum
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of pensions
  • A Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning is preferred, although relevant experience will be considered
  • A career-focused Paraplanner who can hit the ground running
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence dealing directly with clients
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Someone who will thrive within a small, collaborative team environment

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience using IO or similar back-office systems
  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
  • Strong pension and investment knowledge
  • Experience supporting advisers within an IFA or wealth management environment
