Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated research technician to join Rich Gang Li's laboratory within the Aging Cardiovascular Discovery Center at Temple University. The Center features a world-class group of investigators with vast expertise in cardiovascular science. The Li lab is interested in cardiac renewal and regeneration, with a focus on cell‑cell communication within the microenvironment. We use a variety of biochemical, biophysical, imaging, genomic, and computational approaches to address these questions. The candidate will conduct research projects, design and perform biological experiments rigorously, work collaboratively with investigators within and outside the lab, be highly organized and communicative, and maintain a high work ethic.

Required Education And Experience

  • At least three years of directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in biological sciences or related field

Required Skills And Abilities

  • Prior experience in murine models.
  • Must be a self‑motivated, hard‑working, team‑oriented individual with a strong work ethic and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Essential Duties

  • The research technician will prepare and conduct laboratory research experiments, generate molecular and genetic tools, maintain documentation of reagents and protocols, collect, compile, and analyze data, document results of experiments, and order laboratory supplies and equipment.
  • Perform day‑to‑day operations such as breeding, genotyping, and validation of novel genetic mouse models.
  • Work in a diverse academic setting where superior communication and organizational skills are essential.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
