Temple University's Public Safety Department is expanding. We are searching for Campus Police Officers-Lateral (Multiple openings available!). This role is for currently CERTIFIED law enforcement individuals ONLY.
Starting Hourly Rate: $30.48/hr. Eligible candidates with 3 consecutive years of Full-Time Employment receive $40.11/hr after successful completion of probation period. Eligible New Hires will also receive a Hiring Bonus: $1200 after successful completion of Field Training Orientation (FTO) and $1300 one year after Field Training Orientation completion.
Job Summary
Campus Police Officers provide police patrol in both uniformed and plain clothes operations, and carry out all functions related to police services that are primarily for students, faculty and staff of Temple University, but also include the community within the jurisdictional patrol area surrounding the University. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be currently ACT 120 certified or currently enrolled in a Municipal Police Officer's Training Act (Act 120) program and be 60% complete.
- Must be in the process of obtaining a Municipal Police Officer's Training Act (Act 120) out of state waiver or military waiver.
- Must successfully complete a medical physical, psychological and extensive background investigation.
