Temple Mill Primary School is seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant - Child Linked to join the Teaching and Learning Department, to start from September 2026. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and uphold the highest standards in all aspects of their work. They will work closely with the Classroom Teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support, helping the pupil to access the curriculum, develop confidence, and achieve their individual learning goals. The role contributes to a positive educational environment within The Howard Academy Trust.

Contract and Salary

This is a part-time, fixed-term temporary role for 1 year, with the potential to be permanent. Term time only, paid on the NJC PAY SCALE D2, point 4 – 11 (FTE £25,185.00 – £28,142.00). Actual salary calculated on a pro rata basis, which equates to £15,794.36 – £17,648.79 per annum.

Working pattern:

  • 27.75 hours per week
  • Monday–Thursday 8:40am – 3:05pm
  • Friday 8:40am – 12:45pm
  • 30 minutes unpaid break each day (excluding Friday)

Responsibilities

  • Support the pupil to access the curriculum and participate in learning activities as directed by the Classroom Teacher and SENCO.
  • Provide tailored support to enable the pupil to develop confidence and achieve individual learning goals.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive educational environment and effective classroom routines.
