The successful applicants will, with the support of the wider team, be involved in all areas of our work, supporting the delivery of positive change for our clients, communities, and planet, across a range of project types and sectors. With a focus on carrying out habitat and species surveys, you will have the opportunity to help clients deliver biodiversity gain through development.

We have permanent roles available in our London office, but welcome conversations from applicants in other locations. We have additional offices located in Manchester, Lichfield, Wakefield, Norwich, Cardiff and Lewes. With a focus on regional site work there will be a requirement for travel and occasional overnight stays as part of these roles.

To be considered for this role, you will have as essential criteria:
- A full clean UK driving licence.
- A degree or equivalent qualification (N/SVQ Level 5) in Ecology or a related subject.
- Experience in ecological consultancy or equivalent sectors.
- Experience of ecological field survey work.
- Understanding of relevant UK environmental legislation.
- Membership of (or working towards such) the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), or equivalent professional body with professional code of conduct.
Applications are particularly welcome from ecologists who meet the following desirable criteria:
- Hold (or be working towards) one or more Natural England (or other equivalent) protected species licence and/or hold Field Identification Skills Certificate (FISC) Level 3 or above.
- Experience in preliminary ecological appraisals and/or UKHab surveys.
- Experience of managing projects to deadlines and budget.
- At least 3 years relevant experience.
