If yes, join our forward-thinking nursing team on Ward 3 in Glanrhyd Hospital. The hospital supports patients' rehabilitation needs and complex discharge planning. Ward 3 is a 10‑bedded ward with a mixture of medical patients. Glanrhyd Hospital is continuously expanding its services and we seek staff nurses who have the ambition to help drive these changes and expand the services we offer. Commitment to ongoing training and development is essential. We offer ward‑based training so you should be motivated, keen to learn, and ready to embrace change.
Responsibilities
- Manage a group of patients and occasionally take charge of the ward/department and its resources during duty.
- Maintain high standards of patient care.
- Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Support and supervise junior staff.
- Maintain accurate, current, comprehensive and concise records concerning the condition of the client, in accordance with NMC Standards for Record & Record Keeping and the UHBs Patient Record Policy.
- Liaise with appropriate Clinical Specialists (Doctors, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Clinical Nurse Specialists) regarding individual patient requirements and planned programmes of care.
- Demonstrate passion and commitment to the provision of high‑quality patient‑centred care.
- Work as part of a large multidisciplinary team, demonstrating excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with the ward team in a very busy and fast‑paced environment.
