This is an exciting fixed‑term/secondment opportunity of 12 months to lead a team of neuro outpatient physiotherapists in the Princess of Wales Hospital, who also work out of Dewi Sant Hospital in Pontypridd. The post holder will be responsible for day‑to‑day management of staff, recruitment, waiting‑list management, and annual appraisals, while independently planning and managing their own complex caseload and ensuring patients are seen by the most appropriate healthcare professional. The post holder shall follow professional code of conduct, lead postgraduate education of physiotherapy colleagues, act as a mentor, and undertake relevant research/audit, developing an advanced practice portfolio and implementing best practice in line with national guidelines.
Main duties of the job include:
- Leading a team of innovative physiotherapists in delivering evidence‑based physiotherapy.
- Driving the research agenda within the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of service quality.
Welsh Skills: Welsh speaking & listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above are desirable. Fluency is not required, but candidates with these skills will be considered an advantage during short‑listing.
