An exciting opportunity is available for Band 5 Staff Nurses to join our forward-thinking nursing team on Ward 3 in Ysbyty Cwm Cynon Community Hospital, close to Mountain Ash. The hospital supports patients with rehabilitation needs and complex discharge planning. We are looking for highly motivated and committed Band 5 staff nurses to work on our rehabilitation wards to support patients in achieving a safe discharge. Enthusiastic, motivated individuals with a passion to work within our friendly ward team are encouraged to apply.
Main Duties of the Job:
- Be responsible for the management of a group of patients, and occasionally take charge of the ward/department and its resources for the duration of your duty.
- Maintain high standards of patient care.
- Ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Support and supervise junior staff.
- Maintain accurate, current, comprehensive and concise records concerning the condition of the client, in accordance with NMC Standards for Record & Record Keeping and the UHB's Patient Record Policy.
- Liaise with the appropriate Clinical Specialists (Doctors, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Clinical Nurse Specialists) in relation to individual patient requirements and planned programmes of care.
