An exciting opportunity to work as part of our musculoskeletal physiotherapy team within Ysbyty Cwm Cynon and other health board sites. The job will provide exposure to rehabilitate a range of MSK conditions including persistent pain, upper and lower limb conditions and acute injuries. The individual will work as part of an innovative team and contribute to the service development. You will provide both supervision to your colleagues and training to students and colleagues. This is a great opportunity to develop your clinical and rehabilitation skills managing acute and chronic injuries and be part of a dynamic team alongside our physiotherapists.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn’t mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn’t need to have skills in Welsh, we’ll consider it an advantage when short‑listing and selecting candidates. This isn’t fluency, just speaking & listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
Responsibilities: The post holder will be responsible for undertaking routine assessments of patients with specific conditions (subjective and objective assessments) using specific (service area‑related) skills and assessment forms, following current and developing frameworks.
