About the Organisation

Cwm Taf Morgannwg (CTM) University Health Board serves a large population across a diverse region of Wales and operates three district general hospitals, several community hospitals and primary care facilities. CTM employs nearly 13,500 staff and is one of Wales’ largest employers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations of a team of craftsmen and semi‑skilled staff, including contract staff, ensuring compliance with Health Board standards, policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical advice, training, and support to team members, and mentor staff to support their skills development.
  • Ensure maintenance repairs, minor works and planned preventive maintenance are carried out in a timely and effective manner.
  • Manage resources effectively to maintain operational efficiency and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with Health Board policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Apply your broad practical knowledge of engineering and building practices to solve technical challenges within the team.
