About Templar
Founded in 2000, Templar Advisors is a leading provider of communications training and advice. We work predominantly, but not exclusively, with Financial Services firms on developing communication skills (sales, negotiation, pitching, relationship management, executive presence, investor communication). We have 30 full-time employees based in London, New York and Hong Kong.
About the Role
This is the role that keeps Templar running day to day. You will work alongside two other colleagues and together look after the administration, coordination and support that the business depends on, working closely with colleagues in New York and Hong Kong as well as London. You will own the central diary that schedules all our client delivery, resource engagements so consultants can deliver seamlessly, and handle the invoicing, payments and financial administration that keep the business on track. You will be the person colleagues, associates and clients turn to, across everything from client accounts and finances to office, events and supplier management. It is a role with real breadth, and one where you will quickly become central to how things work.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Preparing and issuing client invoices and statements of work, reconciling the bank, and chasing outstanding payments so revenue is billed accurately and cash comes in on time.
- Processing supplier and freelancer invoices, coding them for our Accountants, and helping with VAT and month-end.
- Preparing intercompany information so our UK, US and Asia entities settle fairly with each other.
- Owning the central diary and resourcing live engagements, from booking consultants and confirming dates with clients to preparing delivery materials.
- Providing diary support to the founders and executives so their time is well spent.
- Supporting colleagues on client accounts with scheduling, tracking, reporting and data.
- Running the office and facilities, managing supplier contracts, and organising company events including the annual offsite.
- Editing, proofreading and preparing presentations and proposals to Templar's standard.
What You'll Bring:
- Senior team administration experience.
- Solid finance administration experience – invoicing, expenses, coding supplier invoices, bank reconciliation and chasing payment, and working to month-end deadlines.
- Experience supporting blue chip clients and providing professional support such as diary management to senior people.
- A high level of numeracy and strong attention to detail.
- Intermediate Excel and confident PowerPoint.
- Comfort using AI and technology generally to work more productively. Experience of Xero, coordinating consultants or organising events would all be welcome, though we can help you build these.
Who This Role Will Suit
You are a senior Administrator who works well on your own initiative, and you enjoy setting your own priorities and managing a busy, varied workload. You build easy, productive relationships with different types of people, from founders and consultants to clients and suppliers. You like variety, and you are happy to turn your hand to whatever the day needs. You are professional, warm, and the sort of person who quietly makes things run better.
What It's Like to Work at Templar
We are a boutique firm working with blue chip clients, which means you get the best of both, serious, high-quality work in a small, friendly setting. You will work closely with the founders and directors and sit right at the heart of the operation. The culture is professional and open, with very little hierarchy and little hands-on management. This is a small company where everyone is flexible and pitches in, and where what you do is noticed and matters.
Diversity and Inclusion
Templar is an equal opportunities employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment. All employment decisions are based on business needs, job requirements and individual qualifications, without regard to race, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability or any other protected characteristic. We are committed to making our recruitment process accessible to all. If you require any reasonable adjustments or accommodations at any stage of the application process, please let us know when applying.
Application Process
Closing Date for Applications: 13:00 on 1 October 2027 (Templar Advisors reserve the right to change the closing date, depending on application numbers).
Video Screening Interview: Successful candidates will be invited to submit a video interview by 4 October 2026.
1st Round Assessment: This will be in person and held at Templar's London offices on 14 October. If successful at screening you will be notified of the interview by no later than 9 October 2026.
Second Round Interview: TBC.
