Tempest Vane Partners have recently engaged with a London based hedge fund in the search for a Network Security Engineer with solid Cyber Security experience to join their global Infrastructure team. Working in a small, lean team you will be responsible for designing, implementing and supporting security, network and wider infrastructure solutions that underpin everything that the fund does.

The successful candidate must have strong Security Engineering skills including Vulnerability Remediation experience, Endpoint detection, Threat detection as well as strong network engineering and network security skills to be considered for this role. Wider experience supporting Windows/Linux servers and scripting skills would be highly advantageous.

Key Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience working in Security/Network Security roles (ideally within the financial markets sector)
  • Extensive experience with Patch Management and System Hardening
  • In depth knowledge of Identity Access Management and Endpoint protection
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLAN's, VPN's, DNS and DHCP on Cisco platforms
  • Scripting experience with languages like Bash, Python and Powershell
  • Hands on experience with Windows and Linux servers
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Network Infrastructure, Firewalls, Switches, VPN's and Wireless systems

This role will involve both Projects and BAU support so the successful candidate should be comfortable working in a broad role that involves interaction with many other teams. The role is on-site in their Central London office and reports into the Infrastructure Manager.
