The Client
My client is a market leading FinTech business that spun out of one of the largest and most successful hedge funds in the world. Their offering is a suite of technology and investment management infrastructure services that they provide to the world's leading hedge funds and asset managers.
My client is looking for a driven, top-tier Quant Developer to contribute to the build of their industry-leading, massively scalable and reliable Portfolio Management System. The technology stack is comprised mostly of C# services which call into a proprietary C++ quant library and present results via a browser frontend. Hosted on Linux in AWS with large calculations distributed over many instances. Trades are ingested from third-party platforms via FIX feeds. Source control, CI, CD and issue tracking are all done in GitLab. Quants work on the C++ libraries and C# services. Some scripts and calibrations are run on a regular basis and these are written in Python.

What You'll Do
The successful candidate will join the Analytics Platform development team and is expected to contribute to the implementation of frameworks and libraries supporting model and analytics development. Furthermore, the role will entail the enhancement of the core Quant Analytics library (written in C++) and front office tools (written in Python). At the same time, the individual is expected to provide ongoing support to clients across all asset classes (especially Rates, but also FX, Equities, Credit and Commodities), and maintenance of existing BAU systems and processes.
What You'll Need
- Recent graduate in Computer Science, Maths, Physics, Engineering or similar from a top tier university.
- Strong skills in at least one programming language; C++ or Python preferred.
- Knowledge of coding fundamentals e.g. modern software design principles, data structures, algorithms.
- Strong logical thinker who enjoys solving complex problems and is interested in exploring software development as a career.
- An analytical approach and an interest in technology and finance.
- Great communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
