A two-form entry primary school is seeking to appoint a full-time, long-term Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and community school from September 2026.

The role will involve:

  • Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Creating a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
  • Collaborating with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's learning journey
  • Maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development
  • Assisting with daily routines such as mealtimes, nappy changing, and rest periods
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all children

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Level 3 in Early Years (ESSENTIAL)
  • Paediatric first aid (DESIRABLE) but course will be provided
  • Language: Arabic, Kurdish, Albanian or Bengali (DESIRABLE)
  • Health & Safety and safeguarding practices
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework and its implementation
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding of the needs of young children
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
