We are working with a 2-form entry primary school in Walthamstow who are seeking an experienced EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. This is a long-term position supporting children with complex needs in a Reception setting.

This role requires a confident, resilient, and highly experienced SEN TA who is comfortable working with pupils who require significant additional support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support for children with complex SEN needs
  • Supporting learning, communication, emotional regulation, and personal care where required
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support plans
  • Creating a calm, nurturing, and structured learning environment
  • Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom
  • Managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
The Ideal Candidate
  • Has extensive SEN and Early Years experience
  • Is confident supporting children with complex needs
  • Comfortable working in a Reception / EYFS environment
  • Calm, patient, proactive, and emotionally resilient
  • Able to work full-time (8:30-4:30) on a long-term basis
  • Early Years or SEN qualification desirable, but not essential for the right level of experience
