Are you passionate about supporting children with SEN? We are working with a fantastic school in Richmond that is looking for a dedicated and proactive Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with experience in education or childcare who wants to make a real impact on students' learning and development.
The Role:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN, EAL, and additional needs.
- Assist in differentiating learning materials to support student engagement.
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to track progress and implement strategies.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and student wellbeing.
- Promote independent learning and confidence-building among students.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children (school, tutoring, youth work, or childcare settings).
- An understanding of SEN and inclusive education.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A patient, adaptable, and supportive approach.
- Teaching Assistant Level 2/3 qualification or a degree in Education/Psychology (preferred but not essential).
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
