Are you an experienced and passionate English Teacher looking for your next challenge? We are a new SEN school, proud to support students with autism. Since opening in September 2022, we have achieved a "GOOD" rating from Ofsted in under two years, and we are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team and provide maternity cover.

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a passion for working with young people and their families.

  • Genuinely desires to improve the lives of some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable young people in London.

  • Thrives in a team of like-minded colleagues who put children at the heart of everything they do.

  • Is patient, compassionate, determined, kind, rigorous, and hard-working.

  • Believes education is about facilitating academic progress, personal development, and life skills in a nurturing, structured environment.

  • Actively seeks opportunities to improve their practice.

  • Learns from children as much as they teach them.

What We Offer:

In return, we can offer:

  • A supportive team of teaching, support, therapy, and admin staff.

  • Small class sizes with no more than 10 students per class.

  • Students who want to be in school and enjoy their time with us.

  • Supportive parents and carers.

  • A newly redesigned and fully renovated building, tailored to our specific needs.

  • Bespoke SEN facilities and resources.

  • On-site parking and secure cycle storage.

  • Access to an on-site gym (after school hours).

  • A comprehensive induction programme for all new staff.

  • An extensive staff wellbeing programme.

  • A train station just five minutes’ walk away (Wimbledon Chase).

  • Weekly CPD opportunities.

  • Career progression within our growing school and across our trust.

  • Has an excellent teaching record.

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.

  • Has experience using restorative practices and effective behaviour management strategies, alongside a strong rapport with challenging pupils.

  • Can monitor and review progress through self-evaluation, report writing, and clear record-keeping.

  • Can teach flexibly, innovative, and responsively in a challenging environment.

  • Can plan and deliver outstanding teaching and learning for individuals and small groups, achieving high-quality outcomes for all pupils.

  • Has evidence of successfully managing and supporting pupils with SEMH needs.

  • Is dedicated to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

If you are a dedicated professional who is ready to make a significant impact on the lives of our young people, we would love to hear from you!
