The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our well-established partner schools in Wokingham, which is looking for a passionate and committed Teacher of Psychology or Sociology to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive, ambitious secondary school with a strong reputation in the local community. The Role
You will teach Psychology and/or Sociology across Key Stages 4 and 5 (GCSE and A-Level), delivering engaging, well-planned lessons that inspire curiosity and develop students' analytical skills. The department is well-resourced, and you will be supported by an experienced Head of Department and a team of specialist teachers.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Psychology and/or Sociology
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental resources
- Support the wider school ethos, including extracurricular activities where appropriate
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - ECTs are very welcome to apply
- Have a relevant degree in Psychology, Sociology, or a related social science
