Are you a resilient and nurturing SEN Teacher looking to make a profound difference in a specialised setting? I am currently recruiting for an exceptional SEN Teacher to lead a small, dedicated unit within a highly supportive mainstream Primary School in Camden. This role is focused on providing a safe and structured learning environment for a small group of children with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, Trauma, and challenging behaviours.

The Role

  • Start Date: February 2026 (Long-term commitment required).
  • Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
  • Focus: Leading a small unit/nurture group. You will be responsible for designing and delivering a modified curriculum that prioritises emotional regulation alongside academic progress.
  • Environment: A small, specialised classroom within a mainstream school, allowing for intensive support with the resources of a larger primary setting.

The School Is Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working with SEMH, Trauma, and Attachment Disorders.
  • Strong behaviour management skills with a focus on de-escalation and positive reinforcement.
  • A trauma-informed approach to education and a high level of emotional resilience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with TAs, SENCOs, and external therapists.
