We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a 3-form entry vibrant and inclusive school in Hillingdon. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young people, supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and MLD.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored interventions.
- Assist with the implementation of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Promote independence, confidence, and emotional well-being in pupils.
- Support with behaviour management and encourage positive engagement in learning.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous experience working with SEN students (school, childcare, or youth work experience considered).
- Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable to different learning needs.
- Have strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- Hold a valid Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply for one).
- Be committed to supporting the academic and personal development of all pupils.
