We are working with a highly regarded SEMH primary school in Slough that is known for its warm and supportive staff team, excellent leadership, and commitment to helping every child thrive. About the Role: This is a full-time, long-term position supporting pupils in Key Stages 1 and 2 with SEMH needs. You\’ll work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff to help deliver individualised support plans and ensure pupils remain engaged in learning. Your role will involve managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive way while building trusting relationships with the children. What We\’re Looking For: Experience working with SEMH, either in a school, PRU, youth work, mental health setting, or similar. Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations. Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with young people who may display complex and unpredictable behaviour. A DBS on the Update Service is essential for this role. This means you hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate that is registered with the government\’s Update Service, allowing quick and secure vetting for work with children and vulnerable individuals.
