This position is temporary with the potential for permanent employment, and they are looking for someone to start as soon as possible. Responsibilities: Manage the daily operations and maintenance of school buildings, grounds, and facilities to ensure a safe learning environment. Schedule and supervise routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections for all school facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Develop and manage the facilities budget, including forecasting expenses, tracking costs, and optimizing resource allocation. Lead and manage the facilities team, providing training and performance evaluations. Ensure all facilities meet local council, and government safety standards; conduct regular safety inspections and implement necessary improvements. Develop and implement emergency plans and procedures, including evacuation protocols and disaster recovery strategies. Liaise with school leadership, staff, and the community to address facilities-related needs and enhance overall school operations.Required skills and experience Maintenance Skills: Experience with basic plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general repairs to maintain school buildings and grounds.
