We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary SEND school in Salford for an experienced and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in supporting young children with additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs, within a structured and nurturing primary school environment.
The Role
- Supporting primary-aged pupils with SEND on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Assisting pupils with learning, engagement, and emotional regulation
- Supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery and differentiated activities
- Helping to maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
Requirements
- Previous SEND experience - essential
- Primary school experience - desirable
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - essential
- Calm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
