We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary SEND school in Salford for an experienced and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in supporting young children with additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs, within a structured and nurturing primary school environment.

The Role

  • Supporting primary-aged pupils with SEND on a 1:1 and small-group basis
  • Assisting pupils with learning, engagement, and emotional regulation
  • Supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery and differentiated activities
  • Helping to maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff

Requirements

  • Previous SEND experience - essential
  • Primary school experience - desirable
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - essential
  • Calm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
