A warm and inclusive Primary School in East Finchley is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and energetic Nursery Support Assistant to join their Early Years team. This role involves providing support within a Nursery class, working closely with young children to support their learning, development, and wellbeing during these crucial early years. Role Overview

  • Supporting children aged 3-4 within a Nursery setting
  • Assisting with play-based learning, routine, and care
  • Full-time, long-term role
  • Working hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
  • Immediate start or September start available

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting children with learning through play and structured activities
  • Promoting positive behaviour, confidence, and independence
  • Assisting with personal care routines where required
  • Creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment
  • Supporting children's social and emotional development
  • Working closely with the class teacher and Early Years team
  • Supporting learning both indoors and outdoors

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months' experience working with young children
  • Experience or strong interest in Early Years / Nursery settings
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Able to commit to a full-time role
