I'm currently recruiting for a Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist to join a specialist secondary school in South East London (Eltham) on a full-time, permanent basis, with an ideal September start.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become the lead Speech & Language Therapist within the school, working with a verbal autistic secondary-aged caseload. The role offers plenty of opportunity to support students with social communication and emotional regulation, while working closely with education staff and families to help students achieve the best possible outcomes.

You'll be supported by two experienced part-time Speech & Language Therapists from the wider team, sharing the overall caseload and working as part of a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team alongside Occupational Therapists, Drama Therapists and Dyslexia specialists.

Requirements

  • HCPC registered Speech & Language Therapist
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech & Language Therapy
  • Band 6 level experience (or equivalent)
  • Neurodiversity-affirming approach to practice
  • Experience supporting autistic children and young people
  • Strong organisational skills and confidence managing an independent caseload
  • Enhanced DBS (we can put this in process)
