An opportunity for an experienced Children's Occupational Therapist to work within Social Care, supporting children with disabilities through remote and home-based assessments. Experienced Occupational Therapy Assistants with substantial experience will also be considered.
Location: North London Hybrid - remote assessments and home visits
Office attendance: 2 days per week (full time) / minimum 1 day per week (part time)
Pay rate: Up to £40 per hour (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full time or part time (minimum 3 days per week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Screen and triage Children's OT referrals
- Complete remote (telephone/video) and home-based assessments
- Assess and provide interventions for bathing, seating, manual handling, home safety, and equipment
- Complete rehousing and housing-related reports
- Manage a balanced caseload of remote assessments and home visits
- Work collaboratively with families and multi-disciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate records and professional reports
Essential Requirements:
- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist (or experienced OTA)
- Experience in Children's Social Care, NHS, or school-based OT services
- Experience assessing children with disabilities in home or community settings
- Strong assessment, communication, and report-writing skills
