Occupational Therapist to conduct assessments in individuals’ homes to determine health‑related housing needs for council formal decisions under parts 6 and 7 of the Housing Act. This is an urgent role to fill.

Description of the Service

The Housing and Health Occupational Therapist provides a timely, supportive, and efficient housing and health assessment service to residents applying to the Council Housing Register. The role supports residents with disabilities, long‑term health conditions, or age‑related needs in accordance with the Council Scheme of Allocations.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years postgraduate experience
  • HCPC registered
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy recognised by relevant professional bodies
  • Clear DBS (process can be provided)
