A warm and inclusive Primary School in East Finchley is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and energetic Nursery Support Assistant to join their Early Years team. This role involves providing support within a Nursery class, working closely with young children to support their learning, development, and wellbeing during these crucial early years. Role Overview
- Supporting children aged 3-4 within a Nursery setting
- Assisting with play-based learning, routine, and care
- Full-time, long-term role
- Working hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
- Immediate start or September start available
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children with learning through play and structured activities
- Promoting positive behaviour, confidence, and independence
- Assisting with personal care routines where required
- Creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment
- Supporting children's social and emotional development
- Working closely with the class teacher and Early Years team
- Supporting learning both indoors and outdoors
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months' experience working with young children
- Experience or strong interest in Early Years / Nursery settings
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Able to commit to a full-time role
