We are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs in a primary school in Enfield. This role is ideal for someone with a care, residential, healthcare or support worker background who wants to move into a school setting.
The role:
- Full-time, long-term TA role in a specialist PMLD unit
- Supporting a small group of pupils with high physical, medical and sensory needs
- Helping with learning, communication, sensory activities and play
- Providing personal care (feeding, changing, toileting)
- Using hoists and equipment (full training provided)
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and medical staff
We'd love to hear from you if you:
- Have experience in care, support work, residential settings, healthcare or SEN schools
- Are confident (or willing to be trained) with personal care and moving & handling
- Are calm, patient and resilient
- Can commit Monday-Friday, term-time from January 2026
- Have the right to work in the UK and are happy to complete an enhanced DBS
