Enfield Children s Services is seeking an experienced Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) to join its Quality Assurance and Safeguarding Service. This is an opportunity to provide independent oversight of child protection planning and children in care services, ensuring that children s needs, safety and progress remain at the centre of decision-making.

The successful candidate will:

  • Chair child protection conferences and statutory reviews for children in care
  • Provide quality assurance of practice
  • Offer challenge and support to social workers, managers and partner agencies to help secure positive outcomes for children

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
  • Significant experience within Children s Social Care
  • Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge
  • Experience chairing conferences, reviews or complex meetings
  • Excellent analytical, communication and decision-making skills
