The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and engagement in learning
  • Implement positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may display challenging behaviour
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to support EHCP targets
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has experience supporting SEMH, ASD, or challenging behaviour (school, PRU, AP, youth work, or care background welcomed)
  • Is calm, patient, and emotionally resilient
  • Has strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Is passionate about making a positive impact on young people's lives
  • Holds (or is willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
